Nickelodeon Suites Resort - Time Capsule

Time Capsule

After the closing of Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida, the Nickelodeon Time Capsule was moved to the hotel and reburied there on April 30, 2005, 1 month and 21 days after opening, as many speculated that it was dug up and destroyed. It contains items that children in 1992 voted to put in there, which include a piece of the Berlin Wall, Rollerblades, an MC Hammer CD, a world atlas, a history book, a Michael Jackson Dangerous CD, a Nicktoons t-shirt, a can of Nickelodeon Gak, a comic book, a Barbie doll, Twinkies, Reebok Pump sneakers, a skateboard, bubble gum, a phone book, a Nintendo Game Boy, a copy of the Book of Endangered Species, and a Home Alone VHS tape. The Time Capsule is now at the main entrance of the hotel. It will be opened in 2042, 50 years from when it was first buried back in 1992 at Nick Studios.

Famous quotes containing the words time and/or capsule:

Never the time and the place
And the loved one all together!
    Robert Browning (1812–1889)

In the capsule biography by which most of the people knew one another, I was understood to be an Air Force pilot whose family was wealthy and lived in the East, and I even added the detail that I had a broken marriage and drank to get over it.... I sometimes believed what I said and tried to take the cure in the very real sun of Desert D’Or with its cactus, its mountain, and the bright green foliage of its love and its money.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)
