Cancellation
The show broadcast highlights of NHL games and give previews of upcoming games. The show was canceled in 2004 after ESPN chose not to rival the bid to broadcast NHL games, which were won by OLN (now NBC Sports Network).
ESPNEWS now provides expanded segments for Matthew Barnaby and Barry Melrose, usually on Thursday nights, to analyze NHL action.
