Powers and Abilities
While not a mandatory quality (though without exception among the higher level new gods), all the new gods possesses varying degrees and kinds of superhuman abilities. The new gods are functionally immortals with highly developed immune systems (immune even to the ravages of time) enabling their lifespans to lengthen by several thousands of years. Genetically, most of the new gods are also endowed with superior intellectual abilities, being able to develop technology magic level. Their advanced physiology combines superhuman strength with supernaturally enhanced endurance, reflexes and speed. While being highly resistant to physical damage, their near invincibility does not extend to bullets or laser blasts. Most of the inhabitants of New Genesis and Apokolips receive martial and military training, being natural warriors.
