Research
NTUA boasts high research activity, as research and education are both its primary goals. Research is managed by administrative and education personnel, but can be conducted by graduate and sometimes undergraduate students as well. Research is administrated by five different offices:
- The Special accounting for research office (ΕΛΚΕ)
- The Liaison Office
- The Office of Researchers
- The Interdisciplinary Research Center
- The Interdisciplinary Unit for Reusable Energy
Research is funded by the NTUA endowment, or often directly through public or private funds.

Famous quotes containing the word research:
“The working woman may be quick to see any problems with children as her fault because she isn’t as available to them. However, the fact that she is employed is rarely central to the conflict. And overall, studies show, being employed doesn’t have negative effects on children; carefully done research consistently makes this clear.”
—Grace Baruch (20th century)
“It is a good morning exercise for a research scientist to discard a pet hypothesis every day before breakfast. It keeps him young.”
—Konrad Lorenz (1903–1989)
“After all, the ultimate goal of all research is not objectivity, but truth.”
—Helene Deutsch (1884–1982)
