National Driver Register

The National Driver Register (NDR) is a computerized database of information about U.S. drivers who have had their licenses revoked or suspended, or who have been convicted of serious traffic violations (e.g., driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs) (see 23 Code of Federal Regulations 1327 Appendix A for a complete list of violations ). The records are added and maintained and deleted by the Motor Vehicle Agency (MVA) of the state that convicted or withdrew the driver .

Famous quotes containing the words national, driver and/or register:

In my public statements I have earnestly urged that there rested upon government many responsibilities which affect the moral and spiritual welfare of our people. The participation of women in elections has produced a keener realization of the importance of these questions and has contributed to higher national ideals. Moreover, it is through them that our national ideals are ingrained in our children.
    Herbert Hoover (1874–1964)

God help the horse, and the driver too!
And the people and beasts who have never a friend!
For the driver easily might have been you,
And the horse be me by a different end!
And nobody knows how their days will cease!
And the poor, when they’re old, have little of peace!
    James Kenneth Stephens (1882–1950)

Our fear that Communism might some day take over most of the world blinds us to the fact that anti-communism already has.
—Anonymous U.S. Analyst In 1967. Quoted in “The Uses of Anticommunism,” vol. 21, published in The Socialist Register (1985)
