Composition
The fleshy external end of the nasal septum is sometimes also called columella.
The nasal septum is composed of five structures:
- perpendicular plate of ethmoid bone
- vomer bone
- cartilage of the septum
- crest of the maxillary bone
- crest of the palatine bone
