Famous quotes containing the words mount and/or muir:

... women are more quiet. They don’t feel called to mount a barrel and harangue by the hour every time they imagine they have produced an idea.
    Anna Julia Cooper (1859–1964)

The ancestral deed is thought and done,
And in a million Edens fall
A million Adams drowned in darkness,
For small is great and great is small,
    And a blind seed all.
    —Edwin Muir (1887–1959)
