In Kazakhstan ratings (index of the movie in Movie Distribution Certificate) are applied by the Committee for Culture of the Ministry for Culture and Information.
- К: Film is allowed for any auditions.
- БА: Film is allowed for children above 12.
- Б14: Film not for children under 14. Accompaniation by parents recommended.
- Е16: Film not for children under 16. Accompaniation by parents recommended.
- Е18: Film is suitable for those above 18. Disallowed TV broadcast from 6.00 to 22.00. TV opreators should block foreign channels.
- НА: Film is suitable for those above 21 only. Allowed in movie theaters only from 22.00 to 6.00.
Films without classification are banned for public view.
