Following his retirement from Congress, Oxley became a lobbyist for NASDAQ, and a partner at the law firm of Baker Hostetler in Washington D.C.. He is now a lobbyist for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the "self-regulatory body of the securities industry."
