Personal Life
Black married Martha Hagen in 1998, and they have two children: Elijah (born in 2001), and Ruth (born in 2003). He resides in Redding, Connecticut. Black is an Atheist.
Black described many aspects of his life in his 2012 memoir You're Not Doing it Right: Tales of Marriage, Sex, Death, and Other Humiliations.
