Charity Work

Since the late 1980s, Crawford has affiliated himself with various charities, particularly for the good of children. He is a patron of the Lighthouse Foundation in Australia, and has also been President of the Sick Children's Trust since 1987.

He supported the theatre charity the Music Hall Guild of Great Britain and America by helping to unveil a commemorative plaque to the famous music hall star Marie Kendall at her former home in Clapham, where he was once her neighbour.

How much methinks, I could despise this man,
But that I am bound in charity against it.
