Parts
Most parts for Merkur Scorpios are widely available although certain custom features are not. Most parts are available in the United States but some have to be located in Europe and shipped internationally.
The Scorpio used a high security design called a Tibbe key in the ignition; this design is still used on European Fords and most Jaguar cars, but they are relatively uncommon in the U.S. There are few unused blank keys for replacements in the states, and most have to be sourced from Ford of Europe.

Famous quotes containing the word parts:
“The good parts of a book may be only something a writer is lucky enough to overhear or it may be the wreck of his whole damn lifeand one is as good as the other.”
—Ernest Hemingway (18991961)
“... the trouble is that most people in this country think that we can stay out of wars in other parts of the world. Even if we stay out of it and save our own skins, we cannot escape the conditions which will undoubtedly exist in other parts of the world and which will react against us.... We are all of us selfish ... and if we can save our own skins, the rest of the world can go. The best we can do is to realize nobody can save his own skin alone. We must all hang together.”
—Eleanor Roosevelt (18841962)
“Rice and peas fit into that category of dishes where two ordinary foods, combined together, ignite a pleasure far beyond the capacity of either of its parts alone. Like rhubarb and strawberries, apple pie and cheese, roast pork and sage, the two tastes and textures meld together into the sort of subtle transcendental oneness that we once fantasized would be our experience when we finally found the ideal mate.”
—John Thorne, U.S. cookbook writer. Simple Cooking, Rice and Peas: A Preface with Recipes, Viking Penguin (1987)
