Content Editing
In the original Japanese version (Rockman Zero), robot characters that were wounded by being cut in half or sliced up would spurt oil. Due to the oil's resemblance to blood, however, much of this was removed in the North American and European versions (Mega Man Zero) to obtain an E rating for the game. This is most notable in the opening sequence of Mega Man Zero.
The English version of the Mega Man Zero series has also edited some instances of words such as "die" or "death," replacing them with terms such as "perish," "destroy," or "retire," most likely to maintain an E rating.

Famous quotes containing the words content and/or editing:
“Now they express
All thats content to wear a worn-out coat,
All actions done in patient hopelessness,
All that ignores the silences of death,
Thinking no further than the hand can hold,
All that grows old,
Yet works on uselessly with shortened breath.”
—Philip Larkin (19221986)
“In this century the writer has carried on a conversation with madness. We might almost say of the twentieth-century writer that he aspires to madness. Some have made it, of course, and they hold special places in our regard. To a writer, madness is a final distillation of self, a final editing down. Its the drowning out of false voices.”
—Don Delillo (b. 1926)
