Famous quotes containing the words laws, medical and/or restraints:

    Nature and Nature’s laws lay hid in night;
    God said Let Newton be! and all was light.
    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)

What an irony it would be if fanatics continued to kill and yet it was the apathy and silence of the medical profession that most wounded the ability to provide what is, after all, a medical procedure.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)

    Religion which lays so many restraints upon us, is a troublesome companion to those who will lay no restraints upon themselves.
    Laurence Sterne (1713–1768)
