Outside Darts
Adams lives in Deeping St James, near Market Deeping, Lincolnshire with his wife Sharon who is a swimming instructor. They met at her 18th birthday party when Martin was helping his brother, John Adams MBE, who was the disc jockey and got married the following year in 1979. They have two sons – Warren, (born 1982) and Darren (born 1984), as well as a granddaughter Lauren (born 2011).
Adams is currently one of five members on the BDO board of directors, after long-time leader Olly Croft failed to be re-elected. In May 2012 he stepped down from the BDO board citing personal reasons after allegations were made about his personal life.
