Post-political Career
Following completion of his service as governor in January, 2011, Sanford moved to his family farm in Beaufort County, South Carolina. In October, 2011, he was hired as a paid political contributor for Fox News Channel. In August 2012, Sanford became engaged to his former mistress, Maria Belen Chapur.
