Mariano Rajoy is known to be a pro-bullfighting supporter who says the tradition is an art form deep rooted in Spanish history. Thus the 6-year ban on live bullfights broadcast on the state run TV Chanel has been lifted and live bullfights are shown at the traditional 6 pm time on TVE as of September 2012.
