Peñarol have won five official tournaments (Súper 8, FIBA Americas League, two Liga Nacional, InterLigas, and Copa Argentina). Peñarol currently plays in the Liga Nacional de Básquet and Quilmes in the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso.
The city is home to Argentine Bandy Union.
