Malm

Malm is a former municipality, a village, and the administrative centre of the municipality of Verran in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. Malm is located along the Trondheimsfjord, about a 32-kilometre (20 mi) drive west from the town of Steinkjer. The 1.43-square-kilometre (350-acre) village of Malm has a population (2009) of 1,572. The population density of Malm is 1,099 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,850 /sq mi). The Malm area was also a separate municipality for about 50 years. Malm Church is located in this village and serves as the main church for the parish.
