Malhotra (Punjabi: ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ, Hindi: मलहोत्रा, Urdu: ملهوترا) is a Khatri family surname originating from the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent, today straddling India and Pakistan.
Along with the Khanna and Kapoor clans, the Malhotra (or Mehra) clan forms the Dhai Gar ("2½ families"), in the Khatri clan hierarchy. There are six primary sub-castes of Malhotra Danga Wale ("people with the sword"), the most martial of them being Kassi Wale.
