The Macon Early College high school is part of the Early College program located next to the greenway and public library. SCC is a partner in the program. As of 2008 it has been ranked 4th in the list of Americas best community colleges. It is one of the three high schools in the Macon area, including Franklin High School and Union Academy. This program was designed to enhance and enrich a student's educational career by providing the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and Associate's Degree.
