Differences From Ordinary Real Estate

Luxury real estate entails greater responsibility for agents who handle transactions than ordinary real estate. They must advertise to a national audience to attract non-local buyers, whereas ordinary real estate only generally requires exposure in local media. There are also greater legal responsibilities for the luxury estate agent, which often involve attorneys, trusts, and anonymity issues. Buyers often require more inspections than with ordinary real estate (which are generally bought after a single inspection).

Famous quotes containing the words differences, ordinary, real and/or estate:

Quintilian [educational writer in Rome about A.D. 100] hoped that teachers would be sensitive to individual differences of temperament and ability. . . . Beating, he thought, was usually unnecessary. A teacher who had made the effort to understand his pupil’s individual needs and character could probably dispense with it: “I will content myself with saying that children are helpless and easily victimized, and that therefore no one should be given unlimited power over them.”
    C. John Sommerville (20th century)

The lowest form of popular culture—lack of information, misinformation, disinformation, and a contempt for the truth or the reality of most people’s lives—has overrun real journalism. Today, ordinary Americans are being stuffed with garbage.
    Carl Bernstein (b. 1944)

What difference is there, do you think, between those in Plato’s cave who can only marvel at the shadows and images of various objects, provided they are content and don’t know what they miss, and the philosopher who has emerged from the cave and sees the real things?
    Desiderius Erasmus (c. 1466–1536)

I ‘gin to be aweary of the sun,
And wish th’ estate o’ the world were now undone.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
