Famous quotes containing the words lung and/or functions:

    Lord, confound this surly sister,
Blight her brow with blotch and blister,
Cramp her larynx, lung and liver,
In her guts a galling give her.
    —J.M. (John Millington)

Nobody is so constituted as to be able to live everywhere and anywhere; and he who has great duties to perform, which lay claim to all his strength, has, in this respect, a very limited choice. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)
