2013 America's Cup World Series

Luna Rossa were last to enter the Americas Cup but brought two AC45 to get the team up to speed and compete in the newly developed America's Cup World Series. Famous quotes containing the words america, cup, world and/or series:

In America they carry latch-keys, and walk about with young gentlemen as young gentlemen walk about with each other.
    Anthony Trollope (1815–1882)

I write mainly for the kindly race of women. I am their sister, and in no way exempt from their sorrowful lot. I have drank [sic] the cup of their limitations to the dregs, and if my experience can help any sad or doubtful woman to outleap her own shadow, and to stand bravely out in the sunshine to meet her destiny, whatever it may be, I shall have done well; I have not written this book in vain.
    Amelia E. Barr (1831–1919)

To him who looks upon the world rationally, the world in its turn presents a rational aspect. The relation is mutual.
    Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831)

History is nothing but a procession of false Absolutes, a series of temples raised to pretexts, a degradation of the mind before the Improbable.
    E.M. Cioran (b. 1911)
