Central Athletics
While primarily known for academic success, London Central Secondary School has also had a rich athletic history. Starting with Football during the early years of the school. It was written in the London Free Press that during the City Championship FootBall game the Central players seemed to move thru the defense like ghosts. This is where the term Central Golden Ghosts was derived. Since then there have been amazing successes in Basket-Ball, Soccer and Football. In 1998 The Central Senior Boys Basket-Ball team went undefeated going on to win the City Championship. This was even more impressive given the schools small population at the time yet still playing at the AAA level. Most recently Soccer has taken the center stage as both the boys and girls teams have won championships at the greater London area level.
