Loading

In electrical transmission lines, the term loading means the insertion of impedance into a circuit to change the characteristics of the circuit.

The loading of a communication channel may be expressed as (a) the equivalent mean power and the peak power as a function of the number of voice channels or (b) the equivalent power of a multichannel complex or signal composite referred to zero transmission level point (0TLP).

Famous quotes containing the word loading:

Nitrates and phosphates for ammunition. The seeds of war. They’re loading a full cargo of death. And when that ship takes it home, the world will die a little more.
