List Of Sailor Moon Characters
The Sailor Moon metaseries features an extensive cast of characters created and designed by Naoko Takeuchi. It contains those who appear in the manga, anime, stage musicals, and live-action series. Some of the following characters shift alliances during the story, change names, or have multiple forms or aspects. Such characters are listed only once, by the name under which they first appear.
The main protagonists of the series are the Sailor Senshi, a group of magical girls tasked with defending a fictional version of Tokyo, the whole Earth, or even the Milky Way, from the attack of different groups of villains with world domination/destruction ambitions.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, sailor, moon and/or characters:
“Do your children view themselves as successes or failures? Are they being encouraged to be inquisitive or passive? Are they afraid to challenge authority and to question assumptions? Do they feel comfortable adapting to change? Are they easily discouraged if they cannot arrive at a solution to a problem? The answers to those questions will give you a better appraisal of their education than any list of courses, grades, or test scores.”
—Lawrence Kutner (20th century)
“Every morning I woke in dread, waiting for the day nurse to go on her rounds and announce from the list of names in her hand whether or not I was for shock treatment, the new and fashionable means of quieting people and of making them realize that orders are to be obeyed and floors are to be polished without anyone protesting and faces are to be made to be fixed into smiles and weeping is a crime.”
—Janet Frame (b. 1924)
“The sailor is frankness, the landsman is finesse. Life is not a game with the sailor, demanding the long headno intricate game of chess where few moves are made in straight-forwardness and ends are attained by indirection, an oblique, tedious, barren game hardly worth that poor candle burnt out in playing it.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“Then they seen it, the old Missouri River shinin in the moon and across it the lights of St. Louis.”
—Dudley Nichols (18951960)
“The business of a novelist is, in my opinion, to create characters first and foremost, and then to set them in the snarl of the human currents of his time, so that there results an accurate permanent record of a phase of human history.”
—John Dos Passos (18961970)
