Iraq's postal system was rededicated May 24, 2004. All international Iraqi mail is routed through the International Service Center (ISC) facility, located at the Baghdad International Airport. The new 2004 system utilizes five digits that correspond to the Region, governorate as well as the post office within that governorate. In Baghdad, each neighborhood has a zip code.
