List of Eliminator Obstacles - Walls

Walls

The American version of the Eliminator often incorporated 8 foot high walls into the Eliminator. The walls made their debut in Season 3, with one wall there for the entire season, and a second wall (this one with a step at the base) being added partway through. In Season 4, the wall was switched from an opaque wall to a wall covered in transparent plexiglass. All of the walls in the original series were not vertical, but steeply inclined. The first season of the revival used an 8 foot vertical wall at the beginning of the course. All of the walls used had ropes to assist the contenders if they needed them.

Famous quotes containing the word walls:

Lift not thy spear against the Muses’ bower:
The great Emathian conqueror bid spare
The house of Pindarus, when temple and tower
Went to the ground; and the repeated air
Of sad Electra’s poet had the power
To save the Athenian walls from ruin bare.
    John Milton (1608–1674)

The walls that fence our fields, as well as modern Rome, and not less the Parthenon itself, are all built of ruins.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

As I sat before the fire on my fir-twig seat, without walls above or around me, I remembered how far on every hand that wilderness stretched, before you came to cleared or cultivated fields, and wondered if any bear or moose was watching the light of my fire; for Nature looked sternly upon me on account of the murder of the moose.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
