List Of Clannad Characters

This is a list of characters from the visual novel, manga, and anime series Clannad. The main character is Tomoya Okazaki, a male student who became a delinquent after a fight with his father that permanently damaged the tendon in his right arm. There are five heroines in this story, starting from Nagisa Furukawa, an insecure and selfless girl, lacking in confidence and self-esteem, who wants to re-establish the long disbanded theatre club. The next is Kyou Fujibayashi, a girl from another class who can be violent and has a bad attitude most of the time, but is very thoughtful toward her friends and otherwise is a good cook. The third heroine is a genius girl named Kotomi Ichinose, who is a very quiet but strange girl. She can be found almost every day in the library alone during school hours reading very complex books. The fourth heroine is Fuko Ibuki, a childish but antisocial girl who carves wooden starfish to distribute to others as a present, inviting them to her sister's wedding in return. The last heroine is Tomoyo Sakagami, a transfer student who is rumored to be a former delinquent. She wants to become the student council president in order to preserve the cherry blossom trees on the hill path to school.

Secondary characters have their own path too, and act as supporting characters who further the story. One of the secondary characters is Yukine Miyazawa, a second year student who hangs around in the library's reference room during lunchtime offering advice and support to those in need. Ryou Fujibayashi, a class representative of Tomoya's class, twin-sister of Kyou, timid and a keen fortune-teller. Misae Sagara, who is the landlady of Youhei's dormitory. Kouko Ibuki who is Fuko's older sister, and she is kind with people. Youhei Sunohara, who is Tomoya's friend, and fellow delinquent; he becomes a delinquent after getting kicked out of the soccer club. Mei Sunohara, who is Youhei's younger sister, and worries about Youhei's condition. Akio Furukawa, Nagisa's father, is bad-mouthed and rough, but is actually kind and sympathetic. He operates the Furukawa bakery along with Sanae Furukawa, Nagisa's mother, who is childish and a crybaby, but is motherly and strong-willed when needed; she creates breads that are anything but edible. Toshio Koumura, a former homeroom teacher of Tomoya and Youhei. Yusuke Yoshino, an electrician who works for the sake of love of the city. Kappei Hiiragi, a mysterious nineteen-year-old young man who is traveling around. Naoyuki Okazaki, Tomoya's father, who Tomoya distanced himself from after a quarrel that injures his arm. There are also secondary characters that appear only in the After Story: Ushio Okazaki, Tomoya and Nagisa's daughter, and Shino Okazaki, Tomoya's paternal grandmother.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, list and/or characters:

Do your children view themselves as successes or failures? Are they being encouraged to be inquisitive or passive? Are they afraid to challenge authority and to question assumptions? Do they feel comfortable adapting to change? Are they easily discouraged if they cannot arrive at a solution to a problem? The answers to those questions will give you a better appraisal of their education than any list of courses, grades, or test scores.
    Lawrence Kutner (20th century)

Every morning I woke in dread, waiting for the day nurse to go on her rounds and announce from the list of names in her hand whether or not I was for shock treatment, the new and fashionable means of quieting people and of making them realize that orders are to be obeyed and floors are to be polished without anyone protesting and faces are to be made to be fixed into smiles and weeping is a crime.
    Janet Frame (b. 1924)

When the characters are really alive before their author, the latter does nothing but follow them in their action, in their words, in the situations which they suggest to him.
    Luigi Pirandello (1867–1936)
