List Of Birds Of Malta

This is a list of the bird species recorded in Malta. The avifauna of Malta includes a total of 384 species, of which 167 are rare or accidental. Malta has a limited range of breeding birds with only 21 regular breeders and about 17 occasional breeders. However, it lies on a major migration route and many more species pass through during spring and autumn.

This list's taxonomic treatment (designation and sequence of orders, families, and species) and nomenclature (common and scientific names) follow the conventions of Clements's 6th edition.
