Phyllida 'Phyl' Oswyn
Phyllida 'Phyl' Oswyn was portrayed by Stephanie Beacham. She first appeared Series 5 until the shows conclusion in 2006. Her role was mainly that of comic relief in the usually dark storylines. She and Beverly 'Bev' Tull were together known as the Costa Cons. Phyl and Bev succeeded in conning many inmates but after a deal went horribly wrong, they escaped from larkhall and traveled to Spain where an incredible coincidence has them be at the same hotel that two staff members of larkhall are having their honeymoon at. While there, they witness Malcolm attempting to murder Sylvia and horrified at what's happening, they enter the hotel room and rescue her. They are eventually recaptured and returned to larkhall.
