Musical Style
Liquid Liquid's music is essentially groove-based and influenced by a variety of sources, including funk, dub reggae of the 1970s, and punk in its do it yourself garage approach. Their songs do not follow standard pop song form, having no defined verses or chorus. The vocals also set the music apart. Salvatore Principato, the vocalist, is known to use his voice as an instrument, focusing more on pitch and rhythm than words and lyrics.

Famous quotes containing the words musical and/or style:
“Creative force, like a musical composer, goes on unweariedly repeating a simple air or theme, now high, now low, in solo, in chorus, ten thousand times reverberated, till it fills earth and heaven with the chant.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
“To write well, to have style ... is to paint. The master faculty of style is therefore the visual memory. If a writer does not see what he describes—countrysides and figures, movements and gestures—how could he have a style, that is originality?”
—Rémy De Gourmont (1858–1915)
