Leytonstone Tube Station - Leytonstone High Road Station

Leytonstone High Road Station

The Central Line passes under the Gospel Oak to Barking Line adjacent to Leytonstone High Road railway station, about 400 metres (430 yards) south of the tube station platforms. Despite this proximity there is no direct interchange between the two services, and passengers must either walk or take a bus along the high road for approximately 10 minutes to access the other station. If using an Oyster card, this is counted as part of a single journey.

Famous quotes containing the words high, road and/or station:

Good breeding ... differs, if at all, from high breeding only as it gracefully remembers the rights of others, rather than gracefully insists on its own rights.
    Thomas Carlyle (1795–1881)

Evil can be got very easily and exists in quantity: the road to her is very smooth, and she lives near by. But between us and virtue the gods have placed the sweat of our brows; the road to her is long and steep, and it is rough at first; but when a man has reached the top, then she is easy to attain, although before she was hard.
    Hesiod (c. 8th century B.C.)

With boys you always know where you stand. Right in the path of a hurricane. It’s all there. The fruit flies hovering over their waste can, the hamster trying to escape to cleaner air, the bedrooms decorated in Early Bus Station Restroom.
    Erma Bombeck (20th century)
