Lewis Schaffer was born in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in Great Neck, New York and spent most of his adult life in Manhattan. He moved to London in 2000 and narrowly missed out on being in the first series of Big Brother. He is divorced, with two children and lives in the Nunhead Heights area of Nunhead, southeast London.
