Biography

Levi Gawron (real name, Levi Gawrock Troite) was born May 2, 1982 in Oslo, Norway.

As far as we know Levi started a black metal band with the name Lost in Time in mid 90s with his brother Ogee (real name, Age Michael Troite). They recorded three demos and did their last live show at the Norwegian metal festival 'Inferno festival' in 2002. Levi then started touring 'the smell of rain' album with Mortiis (2002).

In 2003 he went into silvertone studios in Fredrikstad/Norway to record and co-mix the next Mortiis album (The Grudge).

The Grudge, Mortiis first-ever single from the album of the same name, was released prior to the album and reached Number 51 in the Official UK Singles Chart. The second single "Decadent & Desperate" entered the UK Billboard charts at number 40.

In April 2008 Levi joined Gothminister as a guest guitarist on their European tour with Samael.

Today Levi and Mortiis are working on their new album.

Famous quotes containing the word biography:

The death of Irving, which at any other time would have attracted universal attention, having occurred while these things were transpiring, went almost unobserved. I shall have to read of it in the biography of authors.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

In how few words, for instance, the Greeks would have told the story of Abelard and Heloise, making but a sentence of our classical dictionary.... We moderns, on the other hand, collect only the raw materials of biography and history, “memoirs to serve for a history,” which is but materials to serve for a mythology.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

A great biography should, like the close of a great drama, leave behind it a feeling of serenity. We collect into a small bunch the flowers, the few flowers, which brought sweetness into a life, and present it as an offering to an accomplished destiny. It is the dying refrain of a completed song, the final verse of a finished poem.
    André Maurois (1885–1967)
