Lake Havasu City

Robert Paxton McCulloch (May 11, 1911 – February 25, 1977) was an American entrepreneur most notable for McCulloch Chainsaws and for purchasing the old London Bridge and moving it to one of the cities he founded, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Famous quotes containing the words lake and/or city:

    Turn back,
    back
    to the lake of Delos;
    lest all the song notes
    pause and break
    across a blood-stained throat....
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)

    A city built upon mud;
    A culture built upon profit;
    Free speech nipped in the bud,
    The minority always guilty.
    Why should I want to go back
    To you, Ireland, my Ireland?
    Louis MacNeice (1907–1963)
