It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 47 (virtual channel 62.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter in Independence, Missouri. Owned by Meredith Corporation, the station is sister to CBS affiliate KCTV (channel 5) and the two outlets share studios on Shawnee Mission Parkway (U.S. 56/U.S. 169) in Fairway, Kansas.
