History
The club was founded in 1952 by a group of local people in Burrel under the name KS 31 Korriku Burrel. The club played in the lower leagues of Albania from its creation in 1952 until 1981, when the club first participated in the Kategoria superiore. However, the 1981-82 season saw 31 Korriku relegated back to the Kategoria e parë after finishing second from bottom of the table with just 20 points in total. They were back in the top division after just one season in the Kategoria e parë and were part of the Kategoria superiore 1983-84. They were relegated again for the second time in the space of just 2 years after finishing rock bottom of the table, again being relegated with just 20 points through the entire season.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“In the history of the human mind, these glowing and ruddy fables precede the noonday thoughts of men, as Aurora the sun’s rays. The matutine intellect of the poet, keeping in advance of the glare of philosophy, always dwells in this auroral atmosphere.”
—Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
“The history of the world is the record of the weakness, frailty and death of public opinion.”
—Samuel Butler (1835–1902)
“Boys forget what their country means by just reading “the land of the free” in history books. Then they get to be men, they forget even more. Liberty’s too precious a thing to be buried in books.”
—Sidney Buchman (1902–1975)
