Awards and Rankings
Awards received by KIET Ghaziabad UP Technical University was established in May 2000. There are 427 colleges affiliated to UPTU and around 2,25,000 students are studying under the university, among which 204 are the engineering colleges.Keeping quality and academic excellence as a key mission of UPTU and playing the role of a facilitator in nurturing quality amongst its affiliated institutions, the UPTU Academic Excellence Award Model was developed and implemented in the year 2007. This award Model is based on various aspects of performance :
1) Excellent results with respect to Performance, Customers, People and Society are achieved through Leadership driving Policy & Strategy, People, Partnerships & Resources, and Processes.
2) It consists of six elements namely Commitment, Academic processes, Resources, Motivation, Academic results and Placement. The first three elements are enablers and the last three are results. KIET received awards :‘UPTU Academic Excellence Award 2007’& ‘Star Performer Excellence Award 2008’.
Rankings of KIET Ghaziabad 1.UPTU ranked the college 3 amongst the Ranking of Institutions based on B.Tech Theory Exam Performance. 2.India Today ranked the college 65 amongst the 100 top engineering colleges in India 3.Dataquest magzine ranked the college amongst top 50 engineering colleges in India 4.Mint ranked KIET 47 amongst top engineering colleges in India.
DST Grants In the recent years KIET has received following grants from Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. (I) Establishment of EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Camp) at KIET. Rs.34.8 lacs (II) Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development programme (TEDP) Rs.400000/- (III) Organisation of Skill Development Training Programme through Science & Technology Rs.2.64 lacs (IV)Organisation Of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC), by KIET RS.10,000/-
