International Career
For Estonia national football team, Vassiljev is capped 57 times, scoring 15 goals. He made his national team debut on 31 May 2006 against New Zealand in a friendly match. He scored his first international goal against Armenia on 28 March 2009. In a 2–0 friendly win over Uruguay, he scored his 10th goal and gave an assist. In January 2012 FIFA decided to revoke the result from the game against Bulgaria due to confirmed case of bribery and fraud by the referees. For Konstantin Vassiljev this meant he'd be stripped from two goals he had scored in that game from penalties, lowering the overall number of his goals back to 13 at given time.

Famous quotes containing the word career:
“I doubt that I would have taken so many leaps in my own writing or been as clear about my feminist and political commitments if I had not been anointed as early as I was. Some major form of recognition seems to have to mark a womans career for her to be able to go out on a limb without having her credentials questioned.”
—Ruth Behar (b. 1956)
