Knowledge Tree - Features

Features

The product provides document management functions such as checking documents in and out for editing, version control, access control through roles and permissions and an intuitive structure for viewing documents. It is designed to integrate with the Microsoft Office suite of applications so that users can access documents stored in the KnowledgeTree repository through the Microsoft interface.

In addition to the web-based interface (which supports HTML5 drag and drop), a cross-platform desktop explorer tool also allows access to the online repository from Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux clients.

KnowledgeTree announced on May 25, 2011 two new tools that support mobile access for document management. FolderSync allows users to synchronize selected local folders with the Cloud-based document management vault. KnowledgeTree also announced an app that allows users to access, view, and manage documents on Android devices.

KnowledgeTree also includes workflow functionality along with notifications and alerts that allow reminders to be sent to users for document actions. It supports collaboration around documents using email and a discussion "feed". REST and SOAP interfaces allow integration with other applications.

Famous quotes containing the word features:

These, then, will be some of the features of democracy ... it will be, in all likelihood, an agreeable, lawless, particolored commonwealth, dealing with all alike on a footing of equality, whether they be really equal or not.
    Plato (c. 427–347 B.C.)

Each reader discovers for himself that, with respect to the simpler features of nature, succeeding poets have done little else than copy his similes.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The features of our face are hardly more than gestures which force of habit made permanent. Nature, like the destruction of Pompeii, like the metamorphosis of a nymph into a tree, has arrested us in an accustomed movement.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)
