Knights of Columbus Protocol
Like most fraternal orders, the Knights have a protocol, which dictates the order of rank within the Order, and is typically used at formal functions or presentations in the Order. Supreme is the highest rank within the Order and rank works its way down from there. Officers hold a higher rank than general members in councils and assemblies.
All the Order's ceremonials and business meetings are restricted to members and invited guests.

“These were the sounds that issued from the wigwams of this country before Columbus was born; they have not yet died away; and, with remarkably few exceptions, the language of their forefathers is still copious enough for them.
