KMCI-TV

KMCI-TV (branded on-air as 38 The Spot) is an independent television station serving Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas. Licensed to Lawrence, Kansas, it broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 41 (virtual channel 38.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter located at the Blue River Greenway in the city's Hillcrest section. Owned by The E. W. Scripps Company, it is sister to NBC affiliate KSHB-TV (as the company's only existing legal full-power station duopoly) and the two outlets share studios on Oak Street and Cleaver Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri.

Syndicated programming on this station includes The Simpsons, That '70s Show, The King of Queens, Family Guy, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and How I Met Your Mother.
