Later Life and Death
In 1925, Kitty married Felix Cronin, who was Quartermaster General in the Irish Army. They had two sons, the second of whom they called Michael Collins Cronin.
She died of Bright's disease (as did all of her siblings), on 24 July 1945, and was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin, not far from where Collins lies. Felix joined her there 19 years later.

Famous quotes containing the words life and/or death:
“The life of a man who deliberately runs through his fortune often becomes a business speculation; his friends, his pleasures, patrons, and acquaintances are his capital.”
—HonorĂ© De Balzac (17991850)
“Water, earth, air, fire, and the other parts of this structure of mine are no more instruments of your life than instruments of your death. Why do you fear your last day? It contributes no more to your death than each of the others. The last step does not cause the fatigue, but reveals it. All days travel toward death, the last one reaches it.”
—Michel de Montaigne (15331592)
