The Great Indian October Fest
Hosted by Kingfisher, produced & conceptualized by Common Colors Entertainment, the Great Indian October Fest (TGIOF) is festival of music, beer and entertainment that has been held every October in Bangalore, India, since 2005. It is a three-day event offering activities including music, food, shopping, a flea market, an auto show, and a dedicated pavilion for competitive gaming. Inspired by the German Oktoberfest, TGIOF is one of many Oktoberfest celebrations held worldwide. The festival hosts international and Indian musicians from a variety of genres.
Though the main festival is held in Bangalore, the organizers organize some pan-India activities (for TGIOF):
- TGIOF mini-festivals and parties in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad
- TGIOF pre-launch events in several Indian cities
- TGIOF Road Show in multiple cities, such as Bangalore, Manipal, Mysore, Mangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad

Famous quotes containing the words indian and/or october:
“When an Indian is burned, his body may be broiled, it may be no more than a beefsteak. What of that? They may broil his heart, but they do not therefore broil his courage, his principles. Be of good courage! That is the main thing.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Especially when the October wind
With frosty fingers punishes my hair,”
—Dylan Thomas (19141953)
