Kim Ho - Leading The National Team

Leading The National Team

Ho was back in management in July 1992 when he took over the reins of the Korean national team and led them to the 1994 World Cup in the U.S.. His team put up some credible performances, drawing their opener against Spain 2–2, before picking up their second point with a 0–0 draw against Bolivia. Despite giving World Cup holders Germany a huge scare by coming back to 3–2 after being 3–0 down, his side couldn't find the extra goals they would have needed to progress and exited at the group stage.

Famous quotes containing the words leading the, leading, national and/or team:

The loneliest feeling in the world is when you think you are leading the parade and turn to find that no one is following you. No president who badly misguesses public opinion will last very long.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)

So may I, blind fortune leading me,
Miss that which one unworthier may attain,
    And die with grieving.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

...I have wanted to believe people could make their dreams come true ... that problems could be solved. However, this is a national illness. As Americans, we believe all problems can be solved, that all questions have answers.
    Kristin Hunter (b. 1931)

Romeo. I dreamt a dream tonight.
    Mercutio. And so did I.
    Romeo. Well, what was yours?
    Mercutio. That dreamers often lie.
Romeo. In bed asleep, while they do dream things true.
Mercutio. O then I see Queen Mab hath been with you.
She is the fairies’ midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an agate stone
On the forefinger of an alderman,
Drawn with a team of little atomi
Over men’s noses as they lie asleep.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
