Districts
As of 2002, the Kigoma Region was administratively divided into four districts: Kibondo, Kasulu, Kigoma Urban and Kigoma Rural. In 2012 it was reorganized into five districts: Buhigwe District, Kasulu District, Kibondo District, Kigoma District, and Uvinza District.
