Early Years

Prendiville was born in Rochdale, Lancashire, his father (a native of Killorglin, County Kerry) having emigrated to the UK to practise medicine. He attended the same Jesuit boarding school (Clongowes Wood College) in County Kildare, Ireland, as his father.
