Kianda School - Logo and Motto

Logo and Motto

The school logo consists of a palm tree to symbolize tropical Africa, a deep valley, which is the meaning of the word "Kianda" in several Bantu languages, and a glowing fire to symbolize a hearth, a symbol of the warmth a woman brings to the home and to society.

The school motto is In Opere et Veritate, Latin for "In deed and in truth". The motto was inspired by the Bible verse 1 John 3:18, which says: " My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
